Grace Schedler is a member of God’s Lake Narrows Cree Nation. Grace is fluent in the Ininiw (Swampy Cree) language and is passionate about teaching her language and culture. Family is her top priority, she is a wife, a sister, a cousin, an aunt and a friend.

She retired from the Manitoba government, where she worked for twenty years in the Indigenous Court Work Program. She assisted First Nation, Inuit and Métis people in recognizing their rights and understanding how the justice system functions. During the last few years with the program along with a Federal Judge, Provincial Judge and Executive Director of Courts formed a committee to get the Eagle Feather into the provincial legal system to support First Nation, Inuit and Métis people in their testimonies before the court system. Eagle Feathers are held sacred by First Nations people.

Grace who was a co-founder continues to work with Circles for Reconciliation as an advocate, trainer and facilitator to help bridge the gap between First Nation, Inuit and Métis people and non-Indigenous people.
